Three days of Scandinavian and Nordic fashion celebration and talent discovery kicked off on Tuesday with Copenhagen Fashion Week SS20, bringing a plethora of fashion forward looks to the fore.

Known for its unusual-yet-celebratory pairings of colourways, clean cuts and sharp tailoring, and exaggerated silhouettes, the Danish capital has come to be known as one of the top cities to be reckoned with the Big 4 of fashion (namely New York, London, Milan and Paris) – and this season, even one of the more conscious ones.

CPHFW SS20 has banned the use of single-use plastic and also integrated more eco-conscious brands and labels into its mix. Established as the largest fashion event in the Nordic region, CPHFW SS20 witnesses comebacks from several Danish brands apart from debuting some fresh, strong talent.

On the runways, Ganni, By Malene Birger and Designers Remix presented alongside rising stars such as Saks Potts and Cecilie Bahnsen, whilst the streets showcased an equally enthralling portfolio of trends.

Copenhagen Fashion Week injected a serious dose of fashion and style inspiration from the streets of Denmark. Oversized silhouettes, statement sleeves, chunky sneakers paired with silk slip dresses, circus-inspired prints, updated workwear and artsy modest styles provided us with enough headway for the approaching season.
